Bernhard Leitner was the first to reinterpret sound as a material for shaping space. His sound-space-objects are the rare synthesis of stringent construction of instruments and sensitive perception and experience. Photos and text document physical structures and techniques of composing to create sound spaces - unique spaces shaped by immaterial movements of sound, architectures and body sensations: a revelation of new ways of space perception as well as hitherto unknown insights into our awareness of hearing.
