| Impressive Light Art compositions of great emotionalism
In recent years, light art has become a central theme as well as an independent complex in the oeuvre of Stuttgart-based artist rosalie. Her large-scale kinetic light sculptures have aroused a great deal of interest both in Germany and abroad.
Through her exploration of materials, technologies, and digital media rosalie creates “new universes of light.” In 2013 the artist designed three large-scale, kinetic, interactive light and space sculptures for the Museum der bildenden Künste in Leipzig, introducing trendsetting perspectives to the international light art scene. This publication documents the highly respected Leipzig works as well as a selection of light art that rosalie created between 2007 and 2011 in cooperation with the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe.

PETER WEIBEL (* 1944, Odessa) is an internationally known media and conceptual artist, curator, and art and media theoretician. Since the 1960s his work has firmly regarded artistic creativity as an open-ended field of activity. He was head of the ZKM, Karlsruhe until 2020. Since 2017 he has been director of the Peter Weibel Research Institute for Digital Culture at the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
