Nadine Barth

Nadine Barth, Autorin und Kuratorin, betreut den Fotobuchbereich bei Hatje Cantz. Geboren in Hamburg, studierte sie Philosophie, Literatur und Kunstgeschichte, und arbeitete zunächst als freie Autorin. Sie lebte in Los Angeles und Sao Paulo, schrieb einen Roman und trat bei Poetry Slams auf. Von 1998 bis 2004 arbeitete sie bei AMICA, zuletzt als stellvertretende Chefredakteurin. Von 2004 bis 2006 Managing Director der ersten deutschen Galerie für Modefotografie in Hamburg und Berlin, 2006 gründete sie ihre Agentur barthouse culture concepts (www.barthouse.de), die Ausstellungen und Kulturprojekte organisiert. Herausgeberin diverser Fotobücher, z.B. "Verschwindende Landschaften" (2008, Dumont) mit Fotos von Hiroshi Sugimoto, Thomas Struth, Joel Sternfeld, Olaf Otto Becker, Robert Adams, Peter Bialobrzeski, etc., Monographien von Martin Roemers ("Relics of the Cold War", 2009, "The Eyes of War", 2011, "Metropolis", 2015, alle Hatje Cantz), Carolin Saage ("25/7", 2013, Seltmann + Söhne), Daniel Josefsohn ("OK DJ, 2014, Hatje Cantz), Anatol Kotte ("Iconication", 2015, Hatje Cantz), Andres Serrano ("Salvation") und Modebücher ("Berlin Fashion", 2008, Dumont, und "German Fashion Design 1946-2012", Distanz). Als Kuratorin verantwortete sie u.a. die Blockbuster-Ausstellungen "Traumfrauen" und "Traummänner" im Haus der Photographie, Deichtorhallen, Hamburg, die auch in Moskau und Rostock zu sehen war. Von 2009 bis 2013 organisierte sie das Ausstellungsprogramm der Galerie Contributed in Berlin, seit 2017 für die Capitis Studios, Berlin . Ihr Charity-Projekt "Amazonen" über Frauen mit Brustkrebs mit Fotografien von Esther Haase und Jackie Hardt tourte durch Deutschland, Österreich und Italien. Sie ist Inspiring Editor für die deutschen Ausgaben von L’Officiel und L’Officiel Hommes.

Nadine Barth, author and curator, is consulting editor for photography art books at Hatje Cantz. As a curator she has been responsible for the blockbuster exhibitions Traumfrauen and Traummänner at the Haus der Photographie, Deichtorhallen, Hamburg, which was also seen in Moscow and Rostock; for the past three years she has also been in charge of the exhibition program for the Galerie Contributed in Berlin. since 2017 for the Capitis Studios, Berlin. Her charity project, Amazonen, about women with breast cancer, featured photographs by Esther Haase and Jackie Hardt, has been touring through Germany, Austria, and Italy. She is inspiring editor for the german issues of L’Officiel and L’Officiel Hommes.
