Reiulf Ramstad in conversation with Dr. Claudia Kromrei (Hochschule Bremen) and the editor and architecture critic Boris Brorman Jensen

Reiulf Ramstad is considered one of Norway’s most promising architects and a leading light of a newly reanimated Nordic architecture. His buildings display some of the classic virtues of Critical Regionalism. Ramstad is a graduate of the Università IUAV di Venezia (University of Venice) and has been influenced by architects such as Aldo Rossi, Carlo Scarpa, and later, Sverre Fehn, whose unique design vocabulary Ramstad has both continued to explore and reinterpret, along with his vivid materials and the special tactile qualities of his buildings. Ramstad has already won various international prizes and competitions for his outstanding projects. This new, comprehensive monograph, edited by Boris Brorman Jensen, outlines the architect’s world of ideas and pays tribute to Ramstad’s singular qualities and extraordinary sensitivity to the environment that characterizes his entire oeuvre.

Please register here for the event. Most of the event will be conducted in English.

The exhibition Architecture and Landscape in Norway is currently on display at the Nordic Embassies’ Felleshus in Berlin. Works by Reiulf Ramstad Architects appear in photographs by Ken Schluchtmann.
