NACH BILDENDE KUNST / NACH BILDENDE KÜNSTE

With his conceptual, language-oriented works, American art legend Lawrence Weiner (*1942 in the Bronx, New York) expanded the notion of sculpture. His radically abbreviated phrases avoid metaphors, citing everyday speech or sources from literature or the media. The works are intended to be able to be read and used by everyone. They serve as occasion for conversation, cause for thought, and they provide recipients with space for free association.

We are pleased to offer you a Collector’s Edition that is typical of artist, with a great deal of room for interpretation and ideas. Humorous and multifaceted, the work questions the future or sense of art, and at the same time, postulates its endless ambiguities (which leave no room for pigeonholing), as well as many other thoughts, too, depending on the observer’s point of view.
