Hiroshi Sugimoto

Hiroshi Sugimoto (*1948 in Tokyo, Japan) lives and works in New York.

Studied Photography at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. Numerous solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including presentations at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; and Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin.

Hiroshi Sugimoto’s photographs lure us into the realm of the superlative. Photographs cannot be any clearer, more perfect, or more radically reduced than these. His poetic, breathtaking works are exhibited in some of the largest and most significant art collections in the world. The artist insists upon the highest quality standards even in printed reproductions of his photographs. We are very pleased to present the first comprehensive monograph devoted to the art of Hiroshi Sugimoto as a Hatje Cantz publication, and we are particularly proud to be able to offer two works from his spectacular new Conceptual Forms series as Collector’s Editions.

Collector's Editions will be shipped upon receipt of payment (including postage and handling) or credit card authorization.
