The  esteemed Daros Collection focuses on European and North American art from the latter half of the twentieth century, and since its emergence in the eighties and nineties, the Collection has gathered about 280 works by thirty outstanding artists. The Daros-Latinamerica Collection was established in 2000 and, comprising approximately 1,000 works by circa one hundred artists, is the largest collection of Latin American art in Europe.Face to Face is the first publication to bring both Daros Collections together, and attempts to engage these works—created in different media and of various origin—in a dynamic dialogue. This is expected to lead to previously unimagined, exciting harmonies, as well as to art-historically provocative disunity, which promises to shake our Eurocentric way of thinking. In this way, Face to Face not only deepens our knowledge of the individual qualities of the two collections, but also explores the shared characteristics of their cultural backgrounds. Artists featured (selection):  Luis Fernando Benedit, Joseph Beuys, Waltercio Caldas, Luis Camnitzer, Lygia Clark, Antonio Dias, Ellsworth Kelly, Guillermo Kuitca, Cildo Meireles, Bruce Nauman, Barnett Newman, Hélio Oiticica, Sigmar Polke, Jackson Pollock, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, Jesús Rafael Soto, Andy Warhol Exhibition schedule: Daros Exhibitions, Zurich, October 5, 2007–February 17, 2008 (Part 1), March 14–September 7, 2008 (Part 2)
