{"product_id":"63558-atmen","title":"Atmen","description":"Breathing means life. What initially seems like an unconscious, biological process has diverse social and political dimensions. The book on the large -scale exhibition in the Hamburg Kunsthalle deals with the different facets of breathing and its representation in the art of the old masters and the present. This creates an unconventional and exciting dialogue about an existential topic: from breath as a central biblical metaphor and as an expression of our relationship with the world to air pollution and respiratory diseases to Black Lives Matter (\"I Can’t Breathe\"). Even in ancient times, the breath is considered more than just air that flows in and out of the body. He is vehicles of life, thinking, inspiration. In many world cultures it is an expression of the soul, the divine. Our breathing begins with birth and accompanies us until the end of life. Nevertheless, it remains a matter of course in everyday life, which often only comes into view when it disappears - through air pollution, pandemics or psychological and physical violence. Around 35 artistic positions from 18 countries are devoted to the topic in its persistent importance and explore its current explosiveness. The art of the old masters and the present come into a surprising dialogue about a global and existential topic.","brand":"Hatje Cantz Verlag","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45235463356680,"sku":"9783775753692","price":44.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0582\/8948\/8049\/files\/odoo_9783775753692_1dfde12b-394d-49fa-abc3-fc55731f8fae.jpg?v=1744045231","url":"https:\/\/www.hatjecantz.de\/en\/products\/63558-atmen","provider":"Hatje Cantz Verlag","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
