He generally included the venue architecture in his installations and arranged the linguistic or visual fragments in such a way that he created a very specific mode of observation for each of his works. Their reception depended on the way the observer moved through the space or in relation to the works of art. In 2005 the artist represented the Czech Republic at the Venice Biennale, and he also exhibited at the 4th Berlin Biennale, among other places.
