Estermann finds his motifs and themes while engaged in photographic research, which takes the artist to the suburbs and industrial zones in Central and \u003cst1:place w:st=\"on\"\u003eEastern Europe\u003c\/st1:place\u003e with their many different structures and architectural styles.
