Common to all of them is their examination of the history, the models, or the design of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. The core of the exhibit is the \u003cEM\u003eCars\u003c\/EM\u003e series by Andy Warhol (1928–1987), comprising thirty-five silkscreen paintings that employ selected Mercedes models to document the car’s history. Joining this unfinished series are drawings and airbrush paintings by Robert Longo (*1953). Videos by Sylvie Fleury (*1961) blend the myth of the legendary Mercedes-Benz with some of the most contemporary ideas from the worlds of art and fashion.
