Thirty-six thousand glazed ceramic bars in twenty-three different colors lend the building an inimitable appearance, an urbane image of enormous concision, and an incomparable signal effect. The structure’s interior is reserved, giving prominence to the collection, yet its well-proportioned spaces are striking.
