Until only recently, it was thought that the earliest Magnum group exhibition was the one curated by L. Fritz Gruber for the \u003cI style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal\"\u003ephotokina\u003c\/I\u003e in Cologne in the fall of 1956. However, more than fifty years later, an even earlier show has been rediscovered, \u003cI style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal\"\u003eMagnum Photo: Face of Time,\u003c\/I\u003e which traveled to five Austrian cities in 1955\/56.\u003cBR\u003e\u003c\/SPAN\u003e\u003c\/FONT\u003e\u003cFONT size=2\u003e\u003cSPAN lang=EN-US style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: TheSans; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial\"\u003eThis is the first publication to provide a complete documentation of the exhibition. A total of eighty-three vintage prints by eight Magnum photographers—Werner Bischof, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Ernst Haas, Erich Lessing, Jean Marquis, Inge Morath, and Marc Riboud—are featured in large-format reproductions.
