"One of V+W’s preeminent motifs is the integration of many people in a long game. You might not want to leave, it’s so much fun." (Georg-Christof Bertsch)

Berlin designers Oliver Vogt and Hermann Weizenegger enjoy international renown for their original products and experimental projects. Prototypes of their furniture can already be found in the collections of important museums such as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Besides their activities as productive designers, Vogt & Weizenegger have also started an extraordinarily exciting dialogue on theory among international designers. These ideas led, for instance, to a highly respected project, “DIM— The Imaginary Factory,” where they collaborated with other designers and a Berlin workshop for the blind to produce high-quality design products. This book, designed by Thonik in Amsterdam, documents a new, unique project by V+W for MARTa Herford: they transform the museum into a kind of laboratory, where design can be experienced and understood in all of its dimensions, from actual production processes to presentation to practical application and consumption of the products. Exhibition schedule: MARTa Herford, March 25–May 7, 2006
