Robert Longo: A Winner of the “Most Beautiful German Books” Award

The jury for the 2012 Most Beautiful German Books award has selected 25 winners from 889 contestants.

According to new rules, nineteen jurors spent eight days going through a three-stage process to select the five most beautiful books in five different categories. Books that did not achieve the required majority in the last rounds of voting were honored on a short list.
One of the five winners in the category of Art Books, Photography Books, and Exhibition Catalogues is our new release, Robert Longo. Charcoal. This large, elaborately designed volume, printed in triplex on natural paper with a half-cloth binding, four different covers, and black edge coloring, was made in close collaboration with Longo himself, and offers a comprehensive overview of his charcoal drawings from the past decade.
For more information about the prize and the other winners, see the Stiftung Buchkunst, Frankfurt, website.
