"Berlin nightlife, architecture and culture come into focus in a series of visual essays." Wallpaper, May 29, 2018

You'll find all genres of photography here, from classic street photography to personal sketches to staged portrait series. In a handy pocket-sized format, we're building a whole library of images of the capital, taken by the most prominet photographers working in the city today.

The series begins with a journey on the dog’s head-shaped railway encircling central Berlin. The French-Italian pair of photographers, Ama Split and Riky Kiwy, stopped at all of the twenty-seven stations, where both would shoot a thirty-six exposure roll of film capturing key aspects of the environment around each station.

Volume 2 plunges headlong into life: specifically, Ed Broner’s nightlife, which is presented here in a kind of photo album-cum-journal. It is a cynical, atmospherically intoxicating commentary on the desire for and addiction to pleasure, the presentation of luxury labels, and a selfie culture in love with details.

Pictures by the fashion and portrait photographer Ralph Mecke are dark, mysterious, and charged with an idiosyncratic energy: his eye turns familiar places into new domains that open up to the imagination and serve as setting for the Who's Who of Berlin's cultural scene. Volume 3 is as much a book as it is a concept album.

Annette Hauschild is a storyteller—one who gets close to things and opens up to people; one who discovers places that enchant her, and as a result, the places that enchant her viewers. Volume 4 compiles three black-and-white series that deal with the changes in society that occurred after the fall of the Iron Curtain, as well as with old and new West Berlin.
